The next ARISE session begins September 5, 2008 and will end December 13, 2008.
1. The Flagship Program
The flagship program of the ARISE Institute is the three-and-a-half-month session that runs every year in the fall from the end of August to the beginning of December. This is the most thorough and exhaustive session we provide. This program affords the student a total immersion experience in the art, science and labor of both public evangelism and personal soulwinning. It is a baptism of sorts. The Bible, the Holy Scriptures, will be our touchstone, watchword and textbook.
The student will be able to leave this experience trained and equipped as a disciple, an ambassador and an evangelist of the Lord Jesus Christ. The length and breadth of both public and personal evangelism will be taught, analyzed and explored during this session. You will be enabled, by the unction of the Spirit, to go forth from this program and "preach the gospel to every creature on the earth." Under the molding of the Spirit and the fashioning of the Master Evangelist and Educator, Jesus Christ, you will be enabled to "arise and shine", as you never have before, for the kingdom and glory of God. Course Descriptions
Bible Boot Camp Many times the reason Christians do not share their faith, is because they are afraid they will not be able to adequately explain their faith. Bible Boot Camp is an intensive course, designed to quickly train individuals to effectively share more than 20 Bible doctrines. Trained, experienced, and successful evangelists share the texts, illustrations, and methods for bringing others to decision that have resulted in the conversion of thousands of souls. By the end of the course, each student will have a Bible marked with the texts for each powerful study, and also dynamic methods to share those texts. This course is consistently the highest rated course by ARISE graduates.
Apologetic Survey In these days of increasing skepticism it is essential that Christian workers are equipped with good answers for the hard questions of competing worldviews. If you have desired to make a bigger impact on an increasingly post-Christian, post-modern society this class will provide an invaluable foundation upon which to build.

Homiletics The art and science of preaching will be taught by veteran expositors of God’s Word, the Bible. This highest and most noble work of preaching will be covered in all its detail. Furthermore, opportunity will be afforded each student to practice and hone this important skill.
Biblical Interpretation This foundational class will set the stage for a proper understanding of sacred Scripture. It will cover the basics of how to study, understand, and interpret the Bible.
The Book of Daniel This class will offer an in-depth presentation of the entire book of Daniel with an emphasis on the veracity and beauty of the Adventist position on such critical passages as Daniel 7, 8 and 9.
The Book of Revelation Seventh-day Adventists trace their very identity to this most wonderful book; it will therefore be the object of intense study. Through a thorough exegesis of the text and an application of history, this often mystifying book will become a wonderful revelation of Christ and His watch-care for the church throughout history.
Christian Ethics Ethical structures are a dime a dozen, but only a Biblical ethic is of eternal value. This class will investigate Biblical ethics and evaluate competing ethical paradigms such as pragmatism, situationalism and evolutionary antinomianism.

The Book of Romans This class offers a careful exposition of the book of Romans. This book sparked the protestant reformation, and more recently the powerful 1888 message. The beautiful themes of righteousness, grace, law and judgment will shine forth from this life-transforming book.
Church History This class offers a survey of the history of the Christian church from the time of the apostles right down to the formation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Ellen White This class will endeavor to demonstrate the authenticity of Ellen White’s prophetic call. It will answer questions and objections concerning her ministry. Additionally, it will provide principles for understanding, interpreting and applying her writings.
Health and the Gospel Christ has called us to minister to the whole person: body, mind and soul. This class is designed to provide practical lifestyle information in an effort to positively impact the health and wellbeing of the students and those to whom we are called to minister.
Church Leadership This class is intended to present the basic principles of effective Christian ministry. Congregational visitation, vision casting and pastoral evangelism are some of the many topics that will be addressed.
