Jonathan Karlsson, Nicklas Olssen and Roy Doss, recently graduated from the ARISE program, and returned to their home country of Sweden. The three young men (along with two others, Reuben Bognandi and Dan Millares) experienced a
revival in their experience with Christ as a result of a week of prayer and training conducted by ARISE staff in 2005. The decided to make the journey across the ocean to come and be trained to better reach out to their extremely secular countrymen. After graduation, and time well spent at the General Youth Conference, the “Swedes”, as they were affectionately referred to at ARISE, wasted no time in getting to work upon returning home.
Soon after returning home, the Swedes started a “Bible Bootcamp” for church members. Four nights per week, 30-40 church members have been coming to learn how to present a Bible study in the community. The boys are also preparing to present an evangelistic series of meetings, involving the church members that have been attending the Bible Bootcamp. Jonathan will be preaching the series at the end of March. Please remember these men in your prayers as they reach out to a country that is all but void of spirituality.
